Of the 2,710 Liberty Ships built for the war effort, only two remain in operation. The S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien is one of them — a veteran of D-Day and a living monument to courage and resolve. More than matériel and troops, she carried the hopes of a generation and the weight of a world at war.
